Papardelle with Sausage and Green Beans

Valentine's Day dinner with the family. Fresh, hand made papardelle with a very eggy royal pasta recipe: 400 g type 00 flour 75 g Semolina 12 egg yolks and A good splash of extra virgin olive oil. I had a good amount of my homemade Italian sausage on hand, so I took the meat from 5 sausages and broke it up I to little balls, and browned them off. After draining the fat, I threw in some garlic, a can of diced tomatoes (drained) and some fresh green beans. Tossed it all with the cooked pasta and that's it. Dinner!!!

"Oat" Cuisine Pancake Mix


This recipe was born as a holiday gift for friends. I needed something yummy and shelf stable that went really well with a bottle of Kent Brother's Pure Maple Syrup. If you wanted to do it at home and easier. Just replace the skim milk powder and water with fresh milk.

2 Cups Oat Flour
1 Cup Skim Milk Powder
1 Cup Rolled Oats
4 tbsp Coconut Sugar
1.5 tsp Kosher Salt
3 tbsp Baking Powder
2 tsp Cinnamon
2 Cups Water
2 Large Eggs
5 tbsp butter (melted)

In a mixing bowl, using your favourite wooden spoon, combine all dry ingredients, with the water, beaten eggs and melted butter.

Cook them like pancakes over medium heat.

Smother in syrup and enjoy.
